The Lazzara Legacy Foundation was born out of the most challenging season of our lives. After years of fostering and adopting, we felt a deep calling to open our hearts and home to a pregnant teenager. While we didn’t know when it would happen, our hearts were prepared, and our answer to God was already “yes.”

In July 2021, our lives changed forever when Rich was diagnosed with ALS. Everything we knew was turned upside down. Yet, in the depths of that valley—through the quiet moments of caregiving and prayer—the Lord revealed what was to come.

From that revelation, Mama Joy’s House was created: a faith-based maternity home rooted in compassion, strength, and restoration. Our mission is to preserve and nurture families by offering pregnant women and new mothers a safe, loving, and supportive environment.

Through love, education, and spiritual growth, we walk alongside each woman, providing essential resources to ensure a healthy pregnancy, childbirth, and transition into motherhood. Our holistic approach not only improves maternal and infant health outcomes but also builds a lasting community grounded in faith and hope.
